Public transport

The Richmond is close to the Oxford bus station and the railway station. They provide very good connections to London, the major airports and the rest of the UK. The Finding Us page in our Contact section provides links to online maps which illustrate the locations of the bus and rail stations.

By car

Oxford has an effective ring road system. We are best approached from the north (Woodstock Road, Leckford Road or Plantation Road, Walton Street, Richmond Road) or west (Botley Road, Hythe Bridge Street, Worcester Street, Walton Street, Richmond Road).

Park & Ride

Depending on the length of your stay in Oxford and your arrival and departure times, you may wish to consider using the Park & Ride system.

From the Pear Tree Park & Ride take buses which are going to the city centre and ask for the Old Radcliffe Infirmary stop; cross the road and continue walking towards the city centre; turn right into Little Clarendon Street, continue to the end of the street and across Walton Street into Walton Crescent; walk down Walton Crescent until you reach The Richmond.

Cycle hire

Our Links page includes several cycle hire options.
